AQUAFITTING MAXI Range products provide mechanical connections across defined pipe outside-diameter intervals. The family includes a coupling for joining two plain-ended pipes and a flange adaptor for connecting a plain-ended pipe to flanged equipment. The two formats share a range-based approach to selection, but their dimensions and interfaces must be checked separately.
2023 catalogue family material list
The AQUAFITTING 2023 MAXI family catalogue lists ductile iron, cast iron, concrete, steel, stainless steel, asbestos cement, PVC, copper, glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) and ABS pipes. This records what that edition says; it is not a current product-by-product compatibility matrix or an instruction for work on a particular pipe material.
This is a family-level material list. It does not mean every material is suitable in every diameter, wall condition or configuration. Match the material to the selected product entry and its application conditions.
How the assemblies work
MAXI Range Coupling. The catalogue section shows a central body, end rings, gaskets and fasteners between two plain pipe ends. Check the selected range and conditions for each pipe end. Use the current assembly instruction for installation.
MAXI Range Flange Adaptor. The catalogue section shows a pipe-side ring and gasket and a separate flange interface. Pipe diameter and flange requirements remain separate selection checks; the section alone does not establish a field assembly procedure.
Features and practical value
A measured range instead of a nominal-size assumption. The catalogue describes outside-diameter tolerance of up to 35 mm. That maximum is not the range width of every entry: a DN100 entry of 107–133 mm has a 26 mm interval. The published row, rather than the family maximum, governs selection.
One family for two connection tasks. A project can use a pipe-to-pipe coupling where two plain ends meet and a flange adaptor at the equipment interface, while retaining a consistent range-based specification method.
Defined material options. The flange adaptor catalogue identifies a ductile iron body and end ring. The coupling catalogue also lists carbon steel as a body option. Elastomer and fastener choices should therefore be associated with the actual assembly, not inferred from a family photograph.

These examples identify particular rows; they do not establish interchangeability between the two product formats. For couplings, record both pipe ends. For flange adaptors, record the pipe end and the mating flange. Keep sealing performance and axial-restraint requirements separate in the specification.
