The AQUAFITTING Split Collar for PVC and PE Pipes is a split-body connection for two spigot ends. The catalogue describes a restrained connection, use as a repair coupling, and a PVC-to-PE transition application. It is a separate product from the UU repair clamp and should not share an undifferentiated “repair collar” description.
Suitable pipe materials
The source identifies PVC pipes to EN ISO 1452-2 and PE pipes to EN 12201 / DIN 8074. These are the pipe references stated in the catalogue, not newly issued product certifications. The selected pipe dimensions, configuration and support requirements remain part of the connection specification.
How the components work together
The catalogue names a ductile iron split body, EPDM seal, brass grip ring and fasteners. Their documented construction does not by itself establish a numerical end-load rating or an installation procedure for a selected pipe pair.
The catalogue calls this a restrained connection. Specific end-load requirements must be matched to the selected configuration; that catalogue description is not a numerical pull-out specification.

Construction and support conditions
The 2023 catalogue lists GGG-50 ductile iron, EPDM sealing, brass grip ring, A2 stainless steel fasteners and epoxy coating. Its printed pipe-wall support condition needs technical clarification before it can be used as a field threshold. Obtain the current configuration-specific instruction.
For a PE/PVC transition, identify both pipe ends, their wall details and any required internal support. A material designation alone does not settle the support requirement. Use a configuration-specific installation instruction before assembling the connection; this overview does not prescribe an SDR threshold or a tightening procedure.
