A mechanical interface between a plain-ended pipe and flanged equipment.
The AQUAFITTING Universal Flange Adaptor connects a plain-ended pipe to a flanged valve, fitting or other pipeline component. Its pipe-side connection is selected by an outside-diameter interval, while the opposite end is selected by the mating flange requirements. This makes it a useful connection format where a plain pipe end must meet flanged equipment.
How the connection works
The catalogue section shows a body, an end ring, a gasket, mechanical fasteners and a flange. The pipe-side and flange-side interfaces are separate checks. The catalogue image alone does not establish the assembly sequence, allowable load or restraint performance for a supplied configuration.
This is a description of the sealing arrangement, not a declaration of axial restraint. A gasketed connection must not be treated as fully restrained simply because it is bolted together.
Features that support selection
A defined diameter window. Each range accommodates a stated interval of pipe outside diameters rather than one diameter only. That gives the purchaser a practical way to match a measured pipe to an available adaptor.
Separate pipe and flange matching. Pipe outside diameter and nominal flange size are not interchangeable dimensions. Checking them independently helps avoid selecting the correct nominal size with the wrong pipe-side range.
Configuration choices. The catalogue lists a ductile iron body and end ring, epoxy coating, elastomer options and alternative fastener materials. These are configuration choices, not a promise that every option is included in one standard assembly.

Both entries are labelled DN100, but they are not the same range. A measured 120 mm pipe is outside the first interval and inside the second. This is a diameter check only; the pipe material, flange drilling and operating conditions still belong to the final selection.
Construction and application details
The source catalogue identifies GGG-50 ductile iron for the body and end ring; EPDM, NBR or SBR gasket options; carbon steel, SS304 or SS316 fastener options; and epoxy coating. Its product heading identifies the DN40–DN600, PN10/16 family.
