Axial adjustment for installing and removing flanged pipeline equipment.
An AQUAFITTING Dismantling Joint provides an adjustable connection between flanged pipeline components. Its telescopic arrangement permits the assembly length to be set during installation and provides a means of creating the clearance needed when removing flanged equipment, within the adjustment available for the selected size.
The family has two established pressure versions: P06 for PN10/16 and P07 for PN25. They are pressure variants of one product family, not unrelated products distinguished only by a catalogue page number.
How the assembly works
The catalogue sections show mating flanged parts, a sealing arrangement and longitudinal fasteners or rods. The drawings identify an adjustable assembly, but do not on their own establish an allowable adjustment travel, load path or installation sequence for every size.
This describes an installation and maintenance function. It does not make the product a dynamic expansion joint for continuous movement during operation, and it does not establish that every installation can omit external anchorage.
Features and practical value
Adjustment at the equipment interface. Rather than relying on a rigid connection length alone, the assembly provides a defined adjustment facility for fitting flanged components into the installation.
Planned maintenance access. The product can be specified where later removal of flanged valves, pumps or metering equipment needs to be considered. The actual removal clearance must come from the selected drawing; there is no universal adjustment distance in this note.
Distinct pressure-class data. PN10, PN16 and PN25 details must be matched to the selected version. Shared nominal diameter does not make their drilling, fastener arrangements or dimensions identical.

The source catalogue presents both versions within a DN40–DN2000 family and provides separate pressure-class tables. It identifies a GGG-50 ductile iron body, EPDM/NBR/SBR seal options, carbon steel fasteners and epoxy coating. Flange references appear in the source; the current mating requirements must be verified from the selected product drawing rather than assumed from DN alone.
Pipe systems and specification
A dismantling joint connects through flanges. It is therefore specified by the mating interfaces and assembly requirements, not as a device that directly grips every possible pipe material. Keep the surrounding pipe system, flange specification, seal selection, operating conditions and required installation clearance together in the technical enquiry.
The appropriate drawing should identify the assembly length, available adjustment and fastener arrangement. Installation or removal must follow the relevant approved procedure; loosening a joint under operating pressure is not part of the function described here.
