Flange Adaptors and Couplings: A Closer Look at the Details

Contractors and water utilities in Europe, Africa and South America often ask us the same question: will this fitting fit my pipe? Here is a closer look at the flange adaptors, couplings and gland-joint fittings we cast and machine in ductile iron.
Wide-range sealing
Our wide-range flange adaptors and couplings use an EPDM gasket to seal over a specified range of pipe outside diameters. Measure the actual pipe outside diameter (OD) and check it against the range for the selected fitting and pipe material. A Universal Flange Adaptor connects a plain pipe end to a flange. A Universal Coupling joins two plain pipe ends.
Built for buried water mains
Every fitting is ductile iron with a blue epoxy coating inside and out. Bolts, nuts and gaskets are supplied with each fitting, so it arrives ready to install. For a flange adaptor, confirm the mating flange drilling and pressure rating as well as the pipe OD.
Elbows and fittings for PVC pipe
Our gland-joint elbows connect PVC pipes directly, with a bolted gland and gasket at each end. No threading or solvent welding is needed on site. Our flange saddles clamp onto a PVC main and give a flanged branch outlet, ready for a valve or hydrant.
